Aloha Herb
A strong mind and spirit before entering the cycle will get you through as well as a strong will that you need to be here.
Whether that’s to take care of your family or a dear pet or keeping us guys in line here just focus on the fact that you need to be around no matter what.
Actually getting a new dog to care for and love before you go in might help as well as help you during the process with their unconditional love. I know when ever I was going through really trying times, coming home to talk with and play with my lab/goldy brought the happiness back. It’s proven therapy.
In any case you have all kinds of dogs here to do the same as well…
Stay strong and best of luck.

You must be a mind reader Bernie.
My family found a dog at the HB animal shelter.Let’s see if we get it…going right now…if it’s to be,it’s to be.Thanks.
Hope it’s to be, Herb–if not, there are more that need you–and this here community likes havin’ you around, so get it done, hit the water to wash it off, and get back over here, please
We like you on this side of the sun.

Herb, sorry to hear of this bad news. I don’t know what type of cancer and what stage you were diagnosed at but I think I can relate to how you must feel about going back on chemo. I know from my personal experience how one has to mentally gear-up for the battle. I have been battling Non Hodgkins Lymphoma for 15 years now. I was diagnosed with stage 3, B-Cell lymphoma when I was 27. I was devastated at the time but all I could do to keep myself sane was to focus on getting through the chemo so that I could get back out in the water. I did manage to sneak in a few surfs before my energy and blood counts went to low. From 1992 up now they have vastly improved ways of treating nausea, low blood counts and other short term side effects of chemo.
Herb good luck with this next round of chemo.

Ben.
That Scottish proverb sent chills up my spine. Herb, you need a board, your welcome to any of mine. PM me if you’d like one. None neary as good as yours of course. I need to send you the other thing, too. I’m going to put it on dvd. Mike
Ben,
I’ve been think about you alot.
Mine started out basically as Non Hogkins like yours, and it was arrested 100% after two txs.(I’m seeking tx in mex.) Risky and it has depleted my life savings(maybe that’s why they call it life savings).Unfortunately for me, the CA has resurfaced in various places, so an other round of chemo is vital.
I feel for Griffs wife.I hope she is comfortable, and held with great love.I know she’s scared…I am.
Thanks for talking w/ me/us Ben,I have the most admiration for you and your work.
Thanks Mike,
My daughters were asking to see the end of that vid,and I told them I gave it away. The were more hurt than I realize, but they also understood better than I gave them credit for.
Thanks, coming from you ,I find that a Great compliment.
Herb–
I read you. All else falls away, bro.
