Mercedes and GMac

Was Gmac shaping or some German engineer??? Going to have a closer look at someother Gmac rides.

Peugeot, Mercedes next Porsche?

is it just me, or did it appear the Mercedes design guys were out of their element in discussing surfboard design, and in the end, didn’t add anything substantive to the standard tow-in board other than a speedometer and a fancy paint job?

It’s true;   they may have been out of their element, but they seem pretty stoked to be doing something other than steel and pavement.  That was very cool Sammy.  Thanks.  Garrett Mac never ceases to amaze me.  Lowel.

Yeah, guess I just expected more from the buildup at the beginning, “sleek sexy fast, I can only imagine what its gonna look like”, and was kinda let down when they didn’t show or discuss any design innovations, and only featured about 15 seconds of actual riding video. Garrett definitely gutsy on those big waves. 39 mph pretty impressive.  Amazes me how small those tow in boards are.

First off,

for German engineering,

It was very Low-tech.

What was the the material surrounding the Future boxes during installation?

Why were they hand-laminating carbon fiber?

Almost looked like a Chinese board.

All fancy paint,

and no real High-tech technology.

Loved the planer shot on the CNC’d blank.

I expected more.

Disappointing.

He’s wasting time with MB. Grab a kite, take it to some waves. Pretty easy to sort control and speed in board design doing 39 mph “all day long”.
