merrick single fin

howdy,

on their website it says the msf, not the msf 2, but the msf comes in 5’9, 6’1, etc…

in a fixed width and thickness.

anybody have one of these. if so, what is the width and thickness of say the 6’1 or 6’5?

i want to make one similar but a bit different.

thank you all.

oh man…i went to their shop a week or so ago and wrote down the exact dimensions of the 6’1 and 6’5" for myself…but i dont know where i put them…i beleive the 6’1" is 21" wide, and about 2 3/4" thick…the 6’5" is maybe 22 wide and 2 7/8 thick…rough guesses but i think theyre pretty close.

I was looking at making something similar as well, got any nose and tail measurments as well?

I have a 6’5 MSF.

The dimensions are 6’5 x20.5 wide x2 7/8 thick.

I love the board. If you’re shaping one, I’d make the rails a bit thinner.

This thing has really beefy rails. The bottom is really interesting.

Very bonzerish. I guess that’s why a lot of people are having them

retrofited with runners. Good luck.

Mine is a 6’9’', but i think you can take some info anyway, and this will give you an idea of the outline.

The board has a very possitive feeling where i think the “bonzerish” bottom contour plays a big part.

Hope this helps you a bit.

Coque.

Hi there,

My brother has 2. He has the MSF and MSF G2… both are good shapes but I feel the G2 is a nicer board performance wise.

In terms of dimensions, I’m not sure where you are located, but here in Australia they are shaped by machine :frowning: and you can specify your dimensions if you want to tweak it a bit… both of my brothers shapes have been custom. I’m not sure on his widths but other dims are:

MSF: 7’0" x 3" x ?

MSF G2: 6’ 6" x 2 3/4" x ?
