Resin tints for Mexican Blankets are great but can I get a similiar effect using acrylic paints right on the foam? With shoe strings etc. Probably not as deep as color but any other comments?
Im sure you could get close the the effect as long as you have the skill/patience…give it a shot!
As the foam does not soak like glass, I’d think puddles/too thick would be a problem. I might have to blot excess up. I’d also think that you’d run a way less muddy risk. Also, too much acryllic might not give the lam much to stick to, that’s why airbrushing works so well…Anyone have that movie of Austin or someone doing the Mexican Blanket? Can’t seem to find it…
i got an even acrylic on foam color by brushing the paint on, using very thin layers, then squeegeeing the whole thing down…leaving just the died foam, worked out VERY well for me!
Howzit 220, I think you could do an even better Mexican Blanket with paint since you have more control over the colors.Aloha,Kokua
