Kokua…actually I was down there in 97 in late Oct through nov. When you were there at Saladita did you meet Peter Schworer? he was always there surfing and painting…he would paint people hanging out under the palapas at the restaurant… he would sell the paintings to them, I hung out with him for a few days… …peters paintings were mostly of surf location in and around Zihuatanejo …he died in 2002. http://zihrena.com/peter/memorial.html

Matt Costa Azul. you’d just end up surfing the crappy surf in Sayulita just north of PV… Zihuatanejo would be a better choice IMO… but there are some real secret spots inbetween Costa Azul(San Poncho) and San Blas…but you would never find them in a million years

Howzit Shipman, Never met the man while at Saladita. Most of the time we were there nobody was out except the brother of the girl who cooks food there. Like I said earlier 1 day a mexican surf club showed up and the only other surfers who came 1 day were 2 guys from Santa Barbara. Had it to ourselves 90% of the time and it never really blew out on us. Aloha,Kokua
