How is the EPS? I think I am going to pick up a blank tomorrow. Thanks, P.V.
It is working out pretty well. I am use to cutting out my blanks with a circular saw but was warned not to on this one and I can see why. I used a cross cut hand saw and you could feel the foam kind of bind up. If you forced it with a power tool you could do some damage. My planer did not tear the foam, but I set it at about half the depth as normal. The whole process takes a little longer. Once I got used to how much pressure I could use with the surform and sandpaper it was no big deal. I would not use screen if I were you, a worn out one maybe, but your better off using 60 grit. The screen grabs and tears chunks. The other weird thing is how light the blank is, it takes some getting use to. I say go for it. Just take your time.
