I’m thinking, 3.5 and 1/8 toe…1 1/4 off the rail ~ 2 deg. cant. Have any of you tried these numbers with the large half moon simmons keels?
Fin placement for a 5’8 mini.

Mine cut back better when I moved the fins up. Still lots of drive with the keels, but easier to cut back. I like the Warren video Greg posted, too. I think his fins are further up that 3 inches. Could be wrong. My last one was 6 foot long with the keels at 6 1/2 inches. Same placement as my fish. Warrens board is really short, but he’s a great surfer. Mike
2 things I’ve noticed about these boards and fin combo… The further back you put the fin, the smaller fin you can use and smaller = less drag and more speed. That being said, the further up they are, makes it easier to slide and turn. For me the happy medium comes by taking the shaped blank and laying it on the ground, then place your rear foot where it goes on the board, mark it, then try to get the fins directly under your rear foot. usually between 5 and 6 in for twins and why not throw a few more plugs further up for a quad option. But now I’m becoming intrigued with Greg Griffin’s inline thruster, so why not add that too?
