Looking to shape a modern fish. I’m 5’9" 180lbs and am thinking of a 6’3" x 19.75 x 2.5 with about a 14-15" nose and tail. Swallow tail with double wings. What blank would you recommend and will this be too small to float me or hard to paddle. Thanks.
Read the magic man thread down below. It might help you figure out what to use. If you want flat rocker with plenty of thicknes to work with you might want to get an oversized blank. 6’2"C is actually 6"3" and has 5" nose rocker and close to 2" tail - 2 7/8" thick. Might be something to consider.
if you want a more modern fish/shortboard…maybe we should call them something else…maybe try a 6’7"R - 6’8"H - 6’9"R , taking more from the front. if you’re going for the true fish type board these aren’t it, but if you want a wider flatter modern shortboard these blanks will be a whole lot easier.

Try a 7.3 Classic thicker, wider and flatter.
