I wouldnt be too sure that the GW on Surfresearch is the original SAM. Check out the Keyo below.

Surfresearch is a great resourse, I refer to it all the time. But I recon these two boards are the same board. Not sure why they have been photoshopped apart from the fact that it was showing an example of what was going on at the Keyo factory during the same period. Nat was influenced by McTavish who was at Keyos, when he shaped Sam at Gordon Woods. Not to leave out Greenough who also played a part in Sams design.
