Got back from the Frye a while ago…Lotsa Swaylockers there. Finally met ROlliges here from FL to pick up a sweet blue bumble bee. Hope Keith and Mark post some photos. Interesting influx of epoxy and compsand boards…light, really light, and ultra light. A couple of Firewires there too. The balsa rails look nice but the kitchen counter top looking deck and hull were, well, interesting. Nice to put some faces with the names and good to see old friends.
It’s a new world out there but all of the show stoppers were boards with the unbelievable swirls and colors coming out of Moonlight Glassing. Absolutely stunning. Moonlight Rules. Thanks to Sean Mattison and Bird Huffman for putting this on (along with any other sponsors).
(you might have to skip a lot of written banter , and ,maybe an avatar or two , [I sure did!] , but towards the last few pages, there are some pics of some NICE boards …)
Hopefully , THAT thread will be added to , in the days to come , with photos from this year’s “fish fry” ??
Met sooo many sways I forgot all the screen names! They were, all of them, nice as hell.
My girl got 380 photos! I’m putting them all together now to get them online.
I also got some video of Manny from Mandela talking fins and foam (he had some sick boards there) Tim Bessell, JP from Moonlight, Marlin Bacon and Shaun Ambrose chatting, John Cherry’s fins and Boards Boards Boards!
CHIP: Rasta was there late in the day. I saw him get a few good ones. Sooo smooth.
Daniel Thomson got SIDEWAYS on a few on a Swift fish.
I’m struggling with whether to surf again or work on these photos and vid!
thanks for the “boards on the beach” shots , guys.
Now …

[ ie: ridden on the waves . For example : in the background of one of the photos …is that a righthand groyne break ?] And please , some fish being surfed backhand shots ?

[I’m trying to think of ANY movie where I have seen footage of twin keel fishes being surfed BACKHAND …
