I love that film. It was way before my time, but I dig the style and the whole vibe of the movie. Thanks for the link - I’ve added it to my favorites list.

Hey guys Just wanted to let you know that a couple Morning of the Earth model surfboards are being produced and sold in Byron Bay Australia and shaped by Simon Anderson, the twinny looks fiiiiine! Holger
Holger: I just revisited an older (defunct?) magazine- Pacific Longboarder that had the original Nigel Bechham ad for his Reolutwin (twin longboard). You and I traded licks on this design last week on another post. Did you say you had one of these? Could you by chance provide the details on the tail dimensions, fin placement? This model I’m looking at seems considerably different than the Bob Pearson interpretation. This model looks to have a 7.5" fin, 4.5" base, 9-10" off tip of diamond tail. Fins are offset 2+ inches from rail with 8 degree or more fin angle. Any thoughts? Thanks again. you know, now that i think about it, ive seen about 3-4 of those twin fin longboards at san onofre and blackies lately. strange boards. it looks like they’d be a bit squirrely>>> Holger:>>> I just revisited an older (defunct?) magazine- Pacific Longboarder that > had the original Nigel Bechham ad for his Reolutwin (twin longboard). Hi Steve- I’m not sure I noted this earlier but several weeks ago my son and I were at his 2nd Amateur Level (TGSA) contest. Great opportunity to look at boards and get some feedback from riders. A friend who is my age and competes at the Masters level was riding one of these designs. Surf was shoulder high, not too bad but you needed glide and turns to make the most of it. He chose to ride this Pearson longboard twin-fin design throughout all of his heats. Looked like he was doing better on the nose than a 2+1 setup and had a real advantage in the snappy turns as compared to his mates in the heats. This fin setup might deserve a closer study in certain conditions. Never been fond of the 9’5"S blank but it looks like a candidate for one of these shapes.
