no, i totally understand, and i also enjoyed MR style twins from around '80-'84. As you know Hawaiian waves have more push and speed and jack up and throw. Any fin setup works good in fast lined up steep waves like that.
Derek Hyde surfed amazing back then on a Hot Buttered Twinny, they would spin a 360 easily and looked cool, snapbacks were insane. On a Trad fish you have to round house your cutback and they prefer a high line instead of the hard bottom turn. Just a different sensation in riding!
