My #1: 5'9" Pavel inspired Speed-Dialer

Hello Swaylock’s BBers…First time poster here, thought I’d throw some pics of my #1 up here for review.

Here is my first effort at shaping, a 5’9" x 21" x 2 1/2 speed dialer copy…template taken form a 6’2" speed dialer.

Trying to be fairly consistent with Toby’s original design, but going a bit thinner in the nose and tail, with a pretty flat rocker profile. Board is almost finished, need to fine tune it a bit, but it will end up with a rolled V entry into a slight double concave, which then transitions into medium deep single with the double carried out throuout the single to about a foot from the tail, then all single. 4" rocker in the nose, 1 1/2" in the tail…but keep in mind this is a tapered stringer blank from King Mac with tons of flex in the tail, and a fairly this tail section to maintain that flex. The idea is to have a fairly flat and drawn out tail rocker for speed, which will flex upon loading to create a variable rocker during turns…more pics to come when board is finished.

Please feel free to comment, good or bad, as I need all the advice I can get right now…thanks!
