Just finished this and got it up on Vimeo last night. We went out to the cliffs around 5am and managed to nab a parking spot right in the front row before anyone else got there. Set up on the roof and took some footage with my boss’ sony handycam thinking we’d just get some crappy little shots to post on facebook. Turns out the zoom and stabilization on the thing are incredible and it manages to keep insanely high resolution when zoomed. That, plus way more time than I’d like to admit tinkering around in After Effects and I managed to walk away with a surprisingly fun edit. Anyway, check it out, share it, like it, hate it, whatever… just watch it.

I feel like a rag doll in an industrial washing machine just watching that guy being sucked back over the falls at 55-58 sec.

Yeah that’s by far my favorite moment in the video - totally caught it by chance. I was just slowing the wave down again to go roughly with the vocals and after it rendered I saw the dude get sucked over… Must’ve been a “breathtaking” view

After Effects? Wow, you used a nuclear bomb to kill a mosquito. Good job with the video.
