My First Board - 6'9"-2.75"-20.25" - EPS - Epoxy - Greenlight - Video & Pics

I just finished my first board.  I purchased a kit from Greenlight and the process went very well.  Here are some pictures and a link to the video:

Very cool!

That’s whats it’s all about!

Nice job. I’m seeing more black boards or black areas on boards. Won’t epoxy de-lam in the heat like polyester? Black used to be verboten because of the de-lam issue.

cool

Not sure about the board being black and de-laming.  I did notice that the black portion gets hot a lot quicker - I found this out when waxing it.  It is a good thought though - I will make sure not to leave it directly in the sun for very long - either throw some sand on it or put it in a bag - during surfing the water keeps it cool.  Thanks for all the positive comments – it was people like you that made building this board doable with the wealth of knowledge we call “Swaylocks”.

ACD, The board looks cool and I dig the logo. I remember a long time ago a buddy wanted his board to look like a cowhide with black and white spots and nobody would do it for those reasons. This was in the Islands, pretty warm there. I’m surprised Greg L. didn’t comment. Hope it holds up on Ya.
