I posted/asked LOTS AND LOTS of questions, thanks so much to the patient and helpful people out there in the community willing to take the time and help me, deeply appreciated. So here it is, shaped to finish… beutiful board, a fish…
A modern double winger, while keeping a full *retro swallow
Another shot of the wings, nice huh
Nice shot of the concaves off the tail, love it!
Bill in the shot checking out the concaves, good nose shot.
Now for the finished shots… sorry, didnt document the whole process like I originally wanted to. So those are the
shaping photos, now here’s the finish…
Deck shot, notice cutlap and pinline. Bill free-handed the cutlap, and that was my first ever pinline.
First timers at the acid / resin swirls, and we took the liberty of experimenting with all the different
colors, turned out pretty cool… fun times
Profile shot…
Tail deck shot…
Nose Deck shot…
Nose bottom…
Tail bottom…
Quads… backyard fins homemade ya know, 8degree cant forward 5 degree back. These were made from recycled 22oz. snowboard cloth!
Building this board was such a great experience, I’m sad it’s finished. All the long weekends sanding, shaping etc… were sooo awesome!
Special thanks to Bill, taking the time and having the patience to pass down the knowledge, art of shaping and glassing… he is truly a master from the
old school!
Can’t wait to build the next one… PEACE!
