were the news of today!

...looks very good for a first board

did you made the glass work too?

you say at 10" I think you refer to 12".

Say to your friend that the boards should be rest in 3 point racks not 4

The measurements at 12"

14" in the back and 17,75" at the front with 22" in the middle!

The day after tomorrow I´m going to pick her up !

REPORT:

first experience with her:

Pro:

- Rides fast (Indeed)

- doesn´t slide

- very easy to paddle (lot´s of volume)

- very easy to catch the wave

- very easy to ride!

- wonderfull rocker..

Con:

- a little bit difficult to turn in very small waves (-50 cm)

- requires to put the back foot with strenght to turn

- dificult to put my front foot on the nose ( narrowed nose)

- I have difficulty to push the board from a bottom to make a off the lip

Moral:

as first board is very much more than I expected, but it´sn´t what I really wanted from a Longboard (but this one is very much more than some other I tried)

My oppinion:

- A little bit wide on the nose (18,5"/19")

- different rails on the tail

- Maybe (!!) less carved in the tail (maybe...)

Final: positive match (let´s wait for a little bigger day to try the curves)

If you can move the fin forward that will make the board easier to turn.  Other than that, you pretty much have to adjust to all boards in order to surf them to their strengths.  That discovery process is half the fun of building your own boards.

Great post! It’s very nice. Thank you so much for your post.

today I went to a bigger "place";

it works very well in a better wave! now Í´ll have to try in a good spot to see how she works really..

I´ve noticed that she´s works best in curve when I´me to the back of the wave because I make more strenght in the back foot.

As she has a lot of double carved and pronounced I believe a 7" middle fin will do a lot of improvement because she doesn´t get away to any side!

I´see that she´s really glide´s a lot and easily on the wall of the wave, but coming down the wave and trying to get up to the lip is not very simple;

one thing to discover and I´ll try to make a big wave to see the all-over stability (from the tail to the front) to prove myself that rocker is really good!

Notice that I made some measurements to other boards (after I made this one....) and I found that are some that have more curve in the tail and others have more curve on the nose.

One of them was almost exactly the same.....  but none has so much V in the tail and not so much carved sides...

from the nose to the tal 80% for me is really ok !!! the rest 20% is to find out in the next times..

she´s in the front already and it´s a ezy trim 7,75 (in these kind of boards I prefer only 7")

What I made is this:

measurements:

9´2" x 22 x 3"

at 12" from the back: 14"

at 12" from the front: 17,75"

rocker: 4,3" in the front and 4,5" in the tail
