Thanks to some posts around here, I’m most of the way through my first SUP paddle–just some epoxy and glass, and I’ll be happy. The blade is mahogany and basswood, with walnut and spalted maple accents. The shaft is mahogany and basswood, the handle is bookmatched spalted maple with a mahogany center (you can’t see it in the pics). Logo is burned on using my soldering iron. I don’t have a weight on it–the bathroom scale isn’t sensitive enough. Hopefully it will soon be accompanied by a hollow wood flatwater paddle board–cross your fingers that I can beat the fast approaching winter here!
