My Latest Stick(actually a kiteboard)

Let me start this by apologizing for taking so long to post this. I actually finished this board last fall but haven’t had time(and didn’t know how to post).

Attached below is the last board I shaped (for personal consumption) for kiteboarding. The details are as follows: 6’2" x 19 1/8" x 2 1/4". Us Blanks RED with 2 layers 6 oz + 1 layer of Innegra and maple veneer on the deck; 1 layer 6oz + 1 layer 4 oz on the bottom and vacuum bagged using FH epoxy. The bottom has mild V in the nose that transitions to single concave through the middle and then transitions back to V(~1/4") in  the tail.

I went back and forth on the bottom shape quite abit, but now that I’ve had it in the water, it works perfect. the V in thenose helps me punch out through the waves and the chop on the outside, and I always put V in the tail(from my windsurfing days) which works best for me riding waves.

I also want to give a big thanks to huei; kiterider(hopefully your still checking the posts); paulr; and steveo911 who gave me advice last fall while I was designing and building it.

Cheers!

I always love a board-building story with a happy ending!
