I realised I hadn’t posted any board photos for a while, and was prompted by Lillibel, so here is my latest offering…
This was ridden a few minutes later in the waves you see in the background - shoulder height Raglan, perfect conditions for the board in question.
I guess i’m having photo problems as well… will figure it out!
Simple fade and gloss…

Really nice. The “Simple fade and gloss” is a different board from the fish, right? Is the bottom and rail a pigmented lam with veneer deck inlay? Any other pics of that one? Fantastic gloss/buff! Are you doing the Huie buff method on that? Huie and Paul Cannon seem to have it worked out. The boards they’ve posted pics of recently shine like mirrors. Your’s too.

Yeah it’s a different board, It’s just a spray around the rail on a paulownia/cedar compsand.
My spraying skills are nearly non-existant, but gotta start somewhere…
I’m also not sure whether any graphics on a full wood-look board are appropriate? I’d love to know other peoples opinions on that. I’ll be experimenting, but i’m wary of detracting from the woods natural effect.
Here’s another board I finished today, with the same kind of spray - maybe this is as complicated as I should go? Keep it very simple might be the call.
