No toe in… the fin foil I did back when with no toe in looked like this.
I’m fascinated with your single twin set up aka twingle.
Gr8 stuff… keep having fun & inspiring others Bill!

A little bird tells me that the surfer/collector is going to appreciate this build. Say hi to him from Nova Scotia. I look forward to seeing the pics and possibly a glimpse at the fins.
I will do as you request.
Hey Bill,
Just wondering if someone might be able to post some shots of the finished shape. Or do we have to wait until it’s glassed and done to see the final product?
What kind of tail did you go with?
If someone wanted to get a pair of asymmetrically-foiled fins for a Twingle arrangement, is there a source?
Fins Unlimited, is one source. (Talk to Todd) Dave Town (a Swaylockian) is another. I just delivered a 7 inch pair to Bird, and have an 8 inch pair still available. Images of the board will be available upon completion. The board has an 8 inch squaretail.
I got the last pair from Dave. - the last fin he made me, he informed me he was no longer going to make any fiberglass fins. Bummer but it made sense when talking to him about it.
I am looking for a new source aswell. My next set I’ll give Todd a call.
Can’t wait to see the board.
Well, the final inspection, and touch-up sanding is done. (Really didn’t have much to do) So, now it’s in the glassers hands. The board will come back to me, in the hotcoated stage, so that I can set the fin boxes. (8.5 inch FU)
Reading and wishing for pictures.
After the board is finished, and delivered, the owner will post some photo’s on his website. When that happens, a kind hearted Swaylockian will hopefully repost them into this thread. In all the years I’ve been shaping, I’ve rarely taken photo’s of my personal surfboards, and don’t recall taking more than one or two photos of customer boards, in the past. Be patient, all will be revealed, in time. Thank you for being interested.
Hey Billy T,
Just checking in. Any word on this one?
The fin boxes were routed for, last week Wed. So, the board is likely finished now. The new owner has been out of town for the past week, but should be back tomorrow. I’ll check in with him, and let you know. Remember where we met? That is who the board is being made for.
EDIT: Senior moment… I don’t think we’ve met. I’m confusing you with another SwayBro.
Hey Bill,
No worries. Unfortunately, I’m a long way away. Otherwise I’d be hounding you in person. Perhaps one day the circumstance will present itself to meet in the real world.
The board is now finish glassed. Just waiting for some local waves, for the owner to wring it out on. The glassing was done at the Gordon&Smith shop, and came out as one would expect. Beautiful.
I’m told that photo’s of the 5’ 10’’ board are being put up on the BIRD’S SURF SHED website today. So, take a peek over there, if you’re interested in seeing it.
How hard can it really be, To, post a picture up. ?
fuk the bird house
It is difficult, in the extreme, when you don’t have any pictures. Case in point, I do not have any photo’s of the subject surfboard.
I cant find pics on Birds site
He said his son was going to post some photo’s up on the site, when I spoke to him on Thursday. I check in with him, and see if it has been done yet.
if we all donate $5, we should be able to buy a smart phone for Bill…
