Natural Progression 9'0"

I recently acquired an old Natural Progression 9 footer. As Elvis Costello might say, she’s a battered old bird, but as I’ve spent time with her, I’ve learned to love her. I know she’s ugly, but that’s fine with me. I am interested in who made her though. I can’t make out the signature definitively and all the research I’ve done doesn’t turn up any shapers for Natural Progression who’s first name started with an “F” and had a double “tt” in the early part of their last name. 

Any bells going off for anybody?

The deck logo says Stevenson shapes and if you look at the sig, it says Stevenson also

You got Stevenson from that signature?! You’re better than me at handwriting analysis that’s for sure. 

I saw the Stevenson designs logo, but found nothing about Stevenson on the web. 

I ended up getting in touch with Scot Anderson who used to shape for Natural Progression and he told me it was shaped by Franscico ( chico ) Stevenson circa 1988.

Pretty cool. Now I know who to Google.
