Hey guys
I need help with car repair
86 honda accord,
wont pass smog due to timeing
motor shakes ocasionally
I think timming belt is sliping
also power steering hose leaks bad
so are there any good mechanics out there willing to do some hoarse tradeing
this is my daughters car and we are finacialy crippled at this time and realy need help
please

2 options come to mind:
1-Look for a Honda-Accord forum on the web and fix it yourself.
2-Go to the nearest Mexican barrio and look for a mechanic. Explain the situation and your financial crippling to the mechanic, and your willingness to make a custom board in return for help. See what happens.

have you tried basic stuff like new spark plugs & wires? cleaning of injectors/carb? who told you it was a timing problem? do you have a timing light?
surprised you haven’t found a taker yet. I would say, sell one of your boards for cash, then use the cash to fix the car.

1st of April is long gone but if you wanna make me a 10’4 balsa gun with 5 redwood stringers, tail and nose block, fin system sides and fin box with laminated 14" wooden fin…all gloss coated and shipped(with the Honda) to Hawaii (only place I can use the board)…maybe…just maybe we can dance.
One condition…you did not mention the color of the Honda, irridescent yellow is all I drive, sorry.

Jack - thanks for that. Ken is a good guy, and I'd help out too if I wasn't in such a bind myself. It would be a long list (and he probably wouldn't want it broadcast) if I said all the stuff he's done to help me out when times were better for him. Tough times all around for lots of folks right now.
