where are you having them done?
If I had to pick…I would say the old style (cursive) minus the drop shadow.
I am not sure of the scope (types of boards) of your shaping? Logos 1 and 2 look like a “rock video nightmare”.
If you are shaping longboards as well as shortboards try and pick something that will work for both.
A nice middle ground between clean and edgy.
Also make sure your logo does not conflict with the look of your future airbrush designs.
Placement can also help build your brand and compliment your shapes
What did you tell the graphic designer your companys additude was?
Have you established what your boards stand for or who your target market is?
These questions seem silly…but they actually help quite a bit.
I really like the miller 2 logos.
The first two kind of looked a bit Al merrickish
the cursive one was more better but hard to read
Maybe change the font?
heres what I did with mine as an example
1st one is a bit militant/vaiolent…NO
2nd is nice and cheerful but not very suitable to the subject… NO
3rd… I like it! it’s simple and clean …YES
4th… hmm looks nice , to my opinion might be beter on a different color… yes
good luck with the board.

Josh,
I agree with Dane, old style, no drop shadow. Love the ‘M’ on the old style logo. Reminds me of the Mach Five…
JSS
Max
I love the Mach 5
thanks for the pic
I like the old style cursive logo, its classic.
Jon
I like this one but drop the shadow, also maintain the ability to change the colour to suit the style and backbround of the board it’s going onto…
That up side down M kind of reminds me of your mentors logo, did you get the idea for it upside down going over the falls last week? J/K Josh it looks good, you should use the m and the cursive together, m on the nose and cursive on the rail.
Nice one L8drop!, Thanks guys keep’m Coming!
#2
I think I like the cursive for the deck and the other one for the bottom for “performance” shortboards,
maybe the other way around, I dunno
And just the cursive for everything else
I would concur with L8Drop, nose-“M”, Rail-Cursive.
never noticed the mach 5 was assymetrical
very much a japanese design school eh
Heh, looks like I’m in the minority. I like the first 2, though I think the 2 big black splodges shouldn’t impinge into the white box so much on the first one, reduces the readability of the brand name a bit too much. I do like the way you’ve got a few matching variations which you could use in different situations.
Definitely more of a shortboard logo, what sort of boards do you make?
I think the scrawly Miller looks like a good start but needs refining.
Should be able to be displayed horizontal as well as rotated as shown
The “…er” needs some more clarity so it doesn’t look like mill(mumblemumble).
Have you tried versions that are heavier in weight?
What about adding some fins to the tops/ends of the ells
what about working on the straight lines in the ells so they flow naturally from the previous letter.
I had a teacher that said one should draw hundreds of sketches-if you end up using #1 oh well
The single M reminds me of a hersheys kiss
