Need some help deciding what size board to get

I need help deciding what board size to get. I’m in a bit of a prediciment. I’m going to be surfing in a couple of weeks off the coast of Alabama. I wakesurf as well. I’m looking at getting a board that would fit both situations, but a little more tailored to the ocean environment. Any advice is appreciated.

Super strong double layer glassed 5’6" x 23" tri fin.

If you wanna get some decent advice, you’re gonna have to give a lot more info: your height, weight, experience, how big the waves will be is the bare minimum. Otherwise, any advice you get is a shot in the dark.

Try a 6’8’’ like this one for size. Forstall shaped

That is a nice shape solo , what are the dims.

so,is that the forstall logo , Solo ?

I think Cheyne Horan had rainbow coloured versions of that on his boards , yes ?

ben

Chip,

Yes Cheyne Had Rainbow version, we still have a version of it, but I am not putting the true rainbows on any boards over in America, unless it’s by request.

I think the dims on the board is 12.5 or 13 x 21.5 x 16.5 x 3 x6’8’’

BTW: This is a Cheyne Horan surfboard. Cheyne gets a royalty for every one sold. His name is on the bottom of this board by request.

Reason I gave such short a board advice is 2…

Your surfing waves are gonna be 1-3’ mostly.

Your wakesurfing wave is super short period, most 6’6" boards DON’T fit in between with room for turns and performance.

You need to go short, so you can ride the wake 15’ off the stern of your boat.
