Bongo, Try using the "Aku Shaper" program and play with the shape. I'm working on a 15' 6-8" laydown and after several designs, ended up with 2&1/2" tail rocker and 2&3/4" nose rocker. Started out with closer to 4" nose but after studying it, cut it down some . The theory was to "cut " through chop instead of ride on top. For reference, I looked a lot at the Dennis Pang shapes, they are very nice.
Yes, i’m trying to use Aku but the problem is i need to send an EPS or AI format to the EPS cutter and don’t really know how ! so i use surfesigner from Pierre a french software very easy to use, but only 2D . have a look on it :
Anyway i’m working on a first 9’9" fitness with a big nose and square wide tail ( like a 12’6" cutted !! ) will post outline soon , rocker … maybe soon !!
Check out Paddle Surf Hawaii's web site and look at Blaine Chamber's quad hull rippers. His are all hulled out and chined. The rocker seems minimal and the bottom is complex.
I guess I own a "race board". Not my design but almost an exact copy of your dream board. The Logo is the only thing that really matters....Right???
Cool dudes ride boards with cool logos. Who copied who is the big question. No logo on my board because I glassed it but did not shape or design the board. It's a tank. Having fun is the goal. I don't care about contests. Check this thread if you like to have fun...
