Well I found one of my old boards under my parents deck. A Wet Sticks 7’0 late 80’s thruster. beak nose, nice and thick BUT just beat to hell(lived outside for a few years). I Figured it’d be a nice project for me to mess around, get some more experience with my tools and experiment on. Cleaned it up, patched it up and decided to take some spray paint to it. Did the best masking job I’ve done and the paint job came out looking pretty good (black with a white patch where the wax is gonna go). I then took some automotive pinline tape and played around and low and behold the board looks cool as hell BUT after reading the archives it doesn’t sound like to many people have ever used tape and the general consensus is that a hot coat will most likely make the tape come up! that true? Should I just use a can of clear?? This is and will be a beater I’d just like to seal everything a bit so that the tape will stay on for more than one session!
