need to refinish and adding carbon kevlar to the tail

Hi all i am new to the forum

looking for info or tips on best and most efficient way to get this done.So i have a 9'6'' surf board i picked up used and it has alot of random dings and old not so perfect repairs. any way a fin box came out so i am refinishing the board and adding some cabon kevlar to the rear over the base of all the fin boxes. Im repairing all the old repairs, dings, etc. Then i was going to vacuum bag the entire board. were i am running into an issue is that when i wrap the board i wont be able to keep the fabric from falling on the under side. can i use green masking tape to hold the fabric to the board ? Then i was going to put one bag over and wrap the rockers of the board. i only have green peel ply at the time so refininshing the bottom may be time consuming. Here are a couple phone pics not the best quality. the green tape would be were the vacuum bag would end. also what should i use for clear coat when i am done for UV. protection? I have west sys. 207 206 205 and i am using some adhesive filler 404 i think for the holes and fine box. If anyone has any idea help would be appreciated. This is the bottom.

This is a fine board, but it is past it’s prime.  The carbon fiber cloth is expensive and will make the rest of your board look more yellow. Just fill it, patch it, sand it and ride it.  Put the money you saved toward a new board.

I would normally agree with you 100% but i have the fabric already from other project that i had so i thought it may be fun. didnt know if there was a trick to keeping the fabric wraped around the edges?
