Just wanted to say thanks to you guys for all the great ideas and help. Brain at Greenlight is fine tuning the new deflashing jigs for ProBox. This can also be used to deflash FCS plugs. This idea was inspired be Hans and Shwuz, now Brian will have it to sell to our Swaylockian friends. All I can say is you guys ROCK and love all the great stuff you come up with.
The finish router jig eliminates the possibility of melting the plastic from too much grinding friction as well as ruining the hotcoat from oversanding. It's a huge timesaver too.
As Larry said, this jig can be used for FCS plugs as well as leash plugs.
Longboard center fin box finishing jig coming soon...
Good work on that jig Brian, eliminating the only hard part of the install for me, deflashing without sanding throung my hotcoat…
Speaking of new additions to the ProBox family… I started working at the factory in Torrance last week, and am super stoked to be there. Another reason why sways is great, it got me a job!
Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, etc. regarding ProBox, Aercor, Fibre Glas Fin Co and PowerPad and I’ll get back to you promptly.
Take care everybody, hope to hear from you guys soon!

Here’s a pic in the lam room with some bamboo, my favorite material.

wow that are some crazy looking fins! …I really dig the look of bamboo. I remember someone posted some bamboo fins with a touch of tint in the glass as well and I remember thinking that they looked sick with the tint also!
Stingray, ScottSSD, and Surf4fins were discussing this very thing 2 years ago at plaskett...
always thought about making something similar but, since you already did the trial and error,
i'm gonna hafta pick one up...
looks like it makes it that much easier...

I love bouncing ideas around. The problem with drinking while brainstorming is you forget to write it down or follow through...can't claim this idea but I'm stoked to see the photos....
Last year at Plaskett Creek we came up with an idea to help wet out laps on a longboard....Haven't tried it yet.....
The dixie cups under the fins is a good idea...I'll try that
HAHA good one Jeff. I “itch” to go surfing pretty much everyday after work, though i guess the waves arent itching to be ridden, for now at least. Im still back and forth a lot between South Bay and Goleta, but once Im down here full time and am somewhat situated i’ll definitely be hitting you up. Should coincide with school starting for you im guessing… im feelin the dawn patrol…
Yeah its an expensive laminating room, when you shut the doors the air turns on and there is a good cross breeze that carries all fumes to the far end of the room and then out through a filter system. Ive been in there during lamination of the huge table-sized fin panels and you cant smell a thing. Just have to pay attention to where you stand, in relation to the uncured resin. I find that standing directly upwind of it creates eddy currents and then you can smell it. Stand directly downwind and it works fine (counter-intuitive huh?). Best bet is to stand to the side. Brian from Greenlight called yesterday with the same concern haha. Im glad you guys care!
