New board, 6'6'' not a fish

6'6'' x 21 x 2 3/4

Had this for a few weeks, but mostly been gutless windswell, but i did get one jacking head high wave, just as i got to my feet, it jacked, and i wasn't sure if i'd make the steep drop, but no problem, it held perfectly. Hope for more decent waves to try it out further.

great stuff Mark ,

  THANKS  for that

fin fun , fer sure !!

that looks MORE like it eh ?

fat is the word , you like those WIDE boards eh mate ??!!

"More" boards are made WHERE ??

   Cheers again for the piccies

have a great new year eh ? [not TOO many beers i hope ?! although , if you DO go the whole hog , maybe you can do the surf sacrifice hangover session , to bring on swell here , 3000 miles west ??  ....could be an INTERESTING marine chemistry / biology experiment , methinks !]

  cheers

  ben

[ p.s. -

do you have a side-on rocker and foil shot too , please ??]

Your right…if it were a fish it would have a round tail and three fins:)

Nice board though!

think they are made in Yamba or Angourie....

Haha yeah they are made in yambe or angourie, by pridmore!!.

Still need waves for it, im sick of summer crap!!!!!.

Finally got some waves!, 2-3 foot, super low tide, and it went unreal with this setup. Im used to twin fins, so i think that's why i like such small fins in it. A random 4'er came through, and it was the best wave i've had for ages!!> Love the board!!

P.S, rear fins made by none other than ben chipper!!!

thanks , "Beery" !!

..... now switch the fins around [small at the front]

  cheers !

  ben

p.s. - one more plug in front of the front sideys , and  you'll be ..er..'Spitzered' ! [for want of a better wor[l]d!]

hi again Mark !

just wondered if you have used , or will use,  any of THESE i sent you , for the quad option setup ?

[...i reckon that the rainbow twinnies , combined with their  matching TX [smaller] template [not pictured] could go well, hopefully ?]

   cheers mate !

   ben

p.s. - i haven't forgotten about the Aipa twinnies and my keels , don't worry ...they WILL come ....

Ben, YES!!, I have used the twin fins as a front fin with your orange one tabbers, wow, loosy goosy!!. I have also made the smaller set of rainbow ( side bite size? ) into rears, in the pic below.

This fin setup on this board seems best. I think if the rears were double foiled, they'd be perfect.

So i've had the board for a while now, and i love it!!. Im more of twin fin surfer, so i think a rail fin quad is better suited to me than the Mckee style in the board, but by playing with fins, i find big fronts, and small, small rears works awesome. I got some clean head high hollow waves on it yesterday, and was very happy with this setup.

This setup below is fun in small waves.

cheers mark !

feel free to double foil the rainbow fins , if you like [i can always make more] ....doesn't matter if they end up clear

or if you like, send me a copy of that new template , and i'll do a double foiled version for you ....

by the way , i rode your black and white keels today . they are 1/2" shorter , due to fcs tabbing , and have two inches cut out of the base .

  they feel nice !!

keep up the fin experimenting , mate

  cheers

  ben

Hey ben cheers mate. So far they are the best set up for me in the quad. Im not keen on trying to double foil em, but i think i have some more fins here i can modify to that template, but double foiled. Got heaps a fins haha. Can;t have too many.

Hmmm If you're interested, i could swap you this fin, but only if you want it. It's a shapers 6.5'' single fin. I use a 7.5'' flexy fin in my midlength, or a thruster setup, so if you want it, i'll send it to you with a template of the rears i'd like in return??

yes please !!

  thanks , mark !!

i don't have enough short fin box fins , actually !

  cheers

  ben

....now , i'm off back home ...the fin bench beckons !  catchya !

Expect it soon mate!!

cheers mate !!

i'll wait by the letterbox , drooooloinggg ansd barking like a dog !!

  ben

....hopefully i can make your rear fin templates from an existing panel ....any colour preferences ??

Nah mate colour dont matter!!
