new board fin suggestion

I’ve ordered a 7’ X 21.25 X 2.75 thruster/quad option:

http://rpsurfboards.com/shortboards.html#esb

The tail will be a 15.5 double bump swallow (14" nose)

I’m planning on M5s for the thruster option

Would M5s be appropriate front fins when riding it as a quad?

What should the rear quad fins be?

I’m 6’4" / 200 lbs & ride a similarly shaped quad with Futures (4.5 Vectors in front, 3.5 double foil rears - happy with this set up)

thoughts?

umm…in my opinion that’s a reasonable start, and I’d go with smaller trailers (like 3.5s) myself, but then if you’re buying a Prodanovich, why don’t you ask HIM instead of us?

of course it will come with his suggested fins & we’ll discuss options…do I need to explain why I’d bounce it off this forum, too? thanks for the profound insight

go on fcs website and find a testdrive center.

q1 is a fun trailer, tighter turns

gx-q is a good all-rounder

tc aqualine is a good fin for when the waves are powerfull

redlines are a good thruster fin for a guy your size, they have so much drive and turn quick, so much better than the sunnys or occys.

Personaly i've not got a lot to offer on this subject. However check out the Bruce McKee website, they have been researching different fin configurations for this very subject. Well worth a look. www.Mckeesurf.com

Try the FCS GL fins. these are the longboard rail fins for a thruster set up. Another suggestion is the FCS G1000. This one is a grom fin, but I suppose you could use the rail fins for your smaller quad fins. I personally used the GL's with my M5's on a quad fish that I mad a while back.
