Soon as i get the pics i’ll pass em along. Should be glassed in a week (hopefully)

Let me know if you want Steve’s contact info, he’ll hook you up right. He’s been doing the eps thing for 10+ years.

Does Forestall have a website? I can’t find one.

Nope, no site. but PM for his contact info if you’re interested. his boards are sold on someone’s website. They are here on sways, but i forget the name and site.

J.

cheers for posting that , ‘chaser-man’ ! … that should be fun to ride !!

Does Steve ever do deep-six channel boards ?

[ I’d love to see / try a six channel bottom fish one day !]

cheers !

ben

I dunno if he does 6 channels, but i would imagine so. he was the one that wanted to put the twin channels on this one, i didn’t ask him to do it. says it creates the same venturi effect as the bonzer. i’m sold without riding one.

i bet a sixpack bottom on a fishy would be sicko…

I’d be happy to swing by WOZZ one day and let you ride this one…

J

I had a four channel bottom twinzer shaped by John Mel in Santa Cruz and it was sicko!

Kneeboard glassed and ready for delivery. Should have it in my hands in a few days. Report coming soon…

Nice Coda! Steve never misses, the board should be sick!

aww for crying out loud! i wanna stand up on that thing! i wonder…

just when i thought i was a good shaper/builder too!

back to the drawing board - no pun

i’d be keen to try a channel bottom singlel fin too. the thrusters i’ve rode with channels have been FUN!

Hey Dudley,

Board looks sick! Q–are you VegemiteNight on NYsurf? If so, check your pm there…

Thanks for the compliment, and nope, i’m not on Nysurf at all.

So my board arrives in the mail today, i’m doing cartwheels UP the stairs to go get it(I was in the basement). It is packaged as well as to be expected, but is by no means bombproof. So i open it up, and surprise, surprise, it’s dingleberry time.

A seam running the length of the left rail is showing, and has split 1" open near the nose, and again in the center of the board. This seam has run the length, causing a pretty bad crack in the corner of the tail, and making the glass delaminate. It’s certainly fixable, but wasn’t exactly how i had envisioned this weekend.

Other than that, the board is light as a feather, and as strong as i’ve ever felt(that’s just squeezing it, not in the water strength. My knees may cause significantly more damage).

I’ll report again once it’s fixed and i’ve had my first session…

Thanks to mother nature for lighting up Assateague/Ocean City, MD on Sunday.

air and water at about 45 F.

waves were solid 4-6+, light offshore wind, good tide/ good sandbar. Very hollow, but mostly closeouts.

First wave I got pitched and slammed. Water’s a lot colder when your violently pinned to the sandbar.

Waited 30 minutes for my second wave. Perfect 6ft right, made the drop, no bottom turn, just straight into a deep barrel, it sections once in front of me, but the board keeps flying, barrel stays open perfectly, lots of spit and i come flying out. Only the old guy on the beach was around to watch, but i’ve got the mental picture.

Got a few more waves, deeper barrels, but all closeouts. The board stood up to some punishment and took it like a champ.

No pressure dents, no dings. I wish i could have surfed longer, but i was exhausted and had no body heat left. I didn’t get a feel for how the board might turn, but it is fast, and definitely holds a high line well.

Some pics I found of the same swell in NY

where you guys getting your syntex from?

Forstall’s shop is directly ajacent to Resin Research in FL. Other than that, i couldn’t tell you where they get the supply. PM me for Steve’s phone # or email address, i’m sure he’d be glad to help out.
