Anyone have any clues? I’ve heard rumours that it’ll be out in the next few months. Apparently Clark is keeping it a secret. I’ve been thinking it could possibly be a modified Virutex or Bosch but then again it could be something manfactured just for the surfing/shaping industry. Please share if you are in the know. I don’t know, have you even talked to Clark or anyone about this…was this a hoax???
OK guys, They have changed the pin on the front knob to be more user friendly, also the rear handle/trigger assembly has been cut off at the base and re-glued in the position of the much coveted Skil 100. It is to give the machine a better feel, I don’t have any problem with the current version, but who knows?
I cut and reglued my Hitachi a few years back and like it a lot better that way. Instead of holding it like you would an iron, its more like holding one of those english hand planes used for woodworking. I did have to fabricate another bracket out of sheet metal to make up the gap that is created when you cut the hand/trigger assembly. Id like to see how theyve changed the front knob pin though.
Derek , How did you do this modification and what kind of glue did you use . Aloha , Cal
