New core material?

Hey Guys, i found an article on the WEB, about a new core material!

Have somebody details about this core? Can you buy it in normal blocks like EPS or XPS?

Bufo Surfboards (Germany) use this material also, they call it IX-PS!

May somebody could tell something more about this core!

hi , i have two of these blanks, one i have just shaped into a copy of a js combat model same template, its more difficult to shape in that it does/nt plane or surfoam very well i more or less sanded the board out of the blank,

apart from that i am more than impressed with it , its water proof , just think of what that means, really high comressive strength, i would say equall to 4 to 5 lb even though the foam is about 2 lb ,

the ready to glass blank weighed 2 lb and the finished board with fin boxes weighs 5 1/4 lb , 4oz on the bottom .6+2+2 patch on the deck , 6ft x 18 1/2 x 2 3/8 , the js board weighed 7 lb ,

epoxy all through with a sanded finish,

Looks great!! Where have you bought the blank? Is it possible to buy it in blocks! Like EPS or XPS? I dont think that the material is just only made for surfboards!
