I’m a novice level surfer 165 lbs dry and 6’2". I am looking for a board that carves/ cutbacks real smooth and fast be able to do so cheater 5’s, be able to duck dive, and can handle waves waves from waist high to overhead plus.
I want to go with a 5 fin setup and epoxy construction.
Does anyone suggestions on what kind of shape I should be looking for? Similar board design?
Thanks I appreciate it

(by the way, you’re asking a LOT, especially for a “novice” surfer)

I'm the same size as you. I've been surfing a long time but made the move from longboards to shortboards last December. I have trouble duck-diving anything bigger than a 6'6" shortboard. Especially true in head high surf or bigger. What you've described is a longboard, shortboard, 5-fin convertible fun board that does everything well. If one exists, I'd like a copy.
Haha true. I’ve been progressing a lot just look for an all around board that I can try a hole bunch of different styles with the fins. I’m also a longboarded transitioning to a shorter. That Hobe looks nice.
Check out the Takayama Scorpion Quad. I think it's exactly what you're looking for. I'm not sure it will do everything that's been advertised, but it's Tufflite, five boxes, should be able to cheat five, duck dive, etc.

i would bet dollars to doughnuts you canNOT duck-dive that board 3 times in a sesh and keep your shoulders healthy, bro. Nor could I, and I weigh 185. It looks fun as hell, but no duck-diving.
What size do you think I should get?
At my size, I'd go with the 6'0" or maybe smaller.
