Tried that years ago and its unrideable. The fins GRAB big time, even when paddling and it skews left or right in an extreme manner.
Maybe the fins were installed by a non-surfer ??
looks like it could be a great way to hang a row of boards from a rail on the wall
i saw a couple returning a board that didnt work once! not only were the fins backwards they were also all in the wrong places. a
middle in side and one side angled inwards! we all had a good laugh…
Funny, yesterday was a bad day and I tested exactly this setup.
You can surf it, but I had more fun going only with a Center fin on my shortboard. Surprisingly not highly recommended… 
it's the backward foil that makes it not work.
the template will work if the foil is corrected.
