New here....my first shape.

new to this forum, but thought i’d introduce myself as well as post a couple pics of the first board i’ve shaped.

6’0 x 21.5 x 2.75 twin fin fish with lok box base and keel fins. the color job is in the resin, not the foam. Double concaves and a leash loop instead of a plug are a couple of the details associated with it.

There is a large ding in the center of the bottom of the board resulting from someone dropping in on the shoulder, wiping out right into me, and hitting my board. Oh well, s#!t happens

Looks super nice for your 1st board. Imagine how #2 is going to look. How does it work? Should be a good board to get you up and in early to make the most out of the mushy days. Brough my twin fin home this summer and it worked really well in RI surf.

It doesn’t look like you did a pinline. It looks as though it would have smoothed out some of those rough edges from where you cut the lap. Next time throw one on and it will cover all that up and make it look super sharp.

Keep up the good work. Watch out for the RI superkooks!

Aloha.

PS. Is the wave in your little id picture in RI??

Yah, looks like a fun board. It’s not too late to put a pin line on that if you want. Clean up the wax, sand it, use acrylic paint pen(posca). Mike

Nope. That wave is Cane Garden Bay, Tortola…British Virgin Islands. Went there for three days and scored perfect OH to OH.5 for two of the three days.

they lok box keel fins.

How did you find them. Where did you get them

Brian

Nice board. I think i see the Vigin Mary in on the deck!!!

I have a few friends that go to Tortola and they’d love to see the larger version of your avatar pic… Wanna post it for us!

Drew

As for the keel fins with the lok box base, the fins are made by Rainbow Fin Co. Look them up online and then look under their specialty fins section…keel fins should be in there.

heres a couple pics of Cane Garden Bay. First one is me, other one is my friend taking off.

Very nice pics.

thanks so much for posting them.

Love the color of the water
