just checking the swell.com site, saw an interestng article on a french ski company coming out with a new light weight hollow core epoxy carbon blank. The times, they are a changing.
Ed, things are surely always changing and a hollow core is undoubtely the lightest core possible. Only one thing about it: if it cracks it soaks gallons and dives down. Would anyone try it far from the coast and without an “easy-clip” leash???
Ed, How thick would the workable foam be??? Is this really low tolerance or what? Also, when are you comming to FL…looks like BJ is on for Samoa!!!
Ed, How thick would the workable foam be??? With air inside the blank is it likely that it would expand if left in the sun?
With air inside the blank is it likely that it would expand if left in the > sun? Good questions all, I just don’t have the answers. Check out swell.com and read the article. I would say though, this aint the last we will here about this. Todd, yeah if BJ goes that will be cool. We will have to plan an extended visit!! Forgot to tell him, vehicles over there are expensive. He might need to see if he can work one into his comp. package. Hope to be down at the end of the month. Will call ya.
