Hey foam cutters just got in a few really cool blanks from walker they are 6’5" blanks with 2" plus colored high density foam rails with dual flexable ply stringers running between the colored high density foam and the white foam blank. I have seen these blanks shaped and they are hot with incredible spring. Will post some pics tomorrow.
The glueups looked pretty bad when I was looking at them, and bright red foam never seemed that appealing either.
good to see people trying stuff though. Sorry to be negative, but I see better looking experiments coming off this site!
so you saw one unshaped blank. Is that it the glue up look pretty bad . I have seen and held a finished board and it looked sweet. So stop knocking shit till you have tried it.
Red rails are very common. The parabolic stringers on these are uni ply and the high density foam is a great combination for added strength.
The blank I saw looked quite nice. I will most likely be adding them to my high performance long boards when they are available in longer blanks.

Are the high density foam rails XPS? and the rest(center) of the blank EPS?
If so I’ve seen one from a local shaper and I must admit it was very intriguing?
yeah, Drew from Inspired surfboards makes some really sick Perimeter stringers. I think he’s posted pictuers on here of a couple he’s done. Do a search for Drewtang and you should be able to find them.
No these are all poly blanks the rails are high density colored poly foam, and the center is performance density poly foam from Walker. Pics are coming
