I have a 7’5 Wayne Lynch Evolution that I’ve decided to modify from the current 2+1 setup with Lokbox side bites to a Quad using the Probox system without compromising the current 2+1 setup. I am going to document the process as this project progresses.
First we have the board:
Here is the fin setup with the fins installed:
Then with the fins removed and getting ready to determine how the retrofit is going to happen:
It was determined that the Probox will basically fit inside of the Lokbox. The plan then was to route out part of the Lokbox and install the Probox directly into the Lokbox. The added bonus is the entire Lokbox does not have to be removed and the existing hole filled before installing the Probox.
Then the Lokbox is made ready for routing:
Next, the threaded screw hole in the Lokbox was drilled out:
After the screw hole was drilled, then its time to go to town with the router:
Once both Lokboxes are routed to fit the Probox, the boxes are prepped for the installation of the Probox directly into the Lokbox:
All that is left is to pour the resin and install. Once these two Proboxes are installed they will form the two rear fins of the quad setup. Then two more Proboxes will be installed forward of the newly married Pro-Lokboxes

I am curious, why didn’t you just add two new Lokbox?
Why?
Because (1) I like the ability to adjust the cant (2) wider fin selection - Probox, FCS and Futures (3)I’ve got other boards with Probox so I can interchange my Probox fins and (4) just for no other good reason than to experiment.

And (5) The Irritation factor. This must be driving the Lockbox guys nuts?

Actually what drove me nuts today was that come back by the giants!! What a game!
Looking good larry I can’t wait to get started on my own board. Thank you for the fins very nice by the way, could you show measurements of the fin placement as well tail size on the 7’5" Wayne Lynch and what size center fin is being used.
Hi Otis, You are right a trim router is hard to handle especially going thru a tough material like our ProBox. A plunge router is better. Just a note for the future if you want to move your position a 1/2"forward or back beyond the box adjustment, this can be done without moving the box. Just make different fins with the BASE TABS in a different spot to your liking, this is alot easier than moving the ProBox. Call me at the Factory 310-530-1383 and I will help you take care of your problem. Mahalo,Larry

I route my proboxes with a HF trim router no problem. If you’re chewing up your jigs, it’s because you don’t have the depth adjusted accurately. The website has depth info, i forget right now…but it needs to be spot on.

Hi Onesoulone, Sorry for over looking your question. I will pencil down measurements on Wayne Lynch board and take a pic which feralseppo will post for your viewing. Thank you for asking the question. Mahalo,Larry
