Tyler finished the shaping, now time for spackle and finboxes, the second pic is A2 letting Tyler try out his Rockwell at Greenlight, notice no vacuum hose attached, we have to get more adapters to handle different exhaust set ups.

Anythig for you Tom. You help me out more than words can say. Thanks for always helping s out. I may not be as global as you but I can at least pass what I know onto the prodigy.
Nice skills to be passing on, looks like you can kick back now!
A2 is the man. Hopefully i can glass on saturday morning. Its complicated to finish a board with limited time with school and work on weekends. so i must be very paient.Tom is one of the best teachers ever. How many kids can say their dad is an amazing global surfboard shaper? Plus there isn’t any waves so whats the rush .
Hey everyone,
Finally finished board and took it out last weekend. Super floaty and nice and fast. A good start to surfboard building.
Many years ago, I think about 1973 or 1974, my friend started shaping and I got a custom fro him. It looked very much like your board.
For us here in Hawaii, it was a weird looking board with the low wide point, and rounder tail ending in a swallow. We were still stuck in the tear drop semi gun single fins, or straighter tail line swallows. All had the wide point well forward of center.
I found that it was a nice loose hot dog board great for the side shore south shore waves at Ewa Beach where we lived then. Today that’s a fairly normal shape. I guess my friend was quite a few years ahead of his time.
I hope you have great success making boards.
Nice work. Looks like a fun ride. Now post some views of the rocker and bottom.
STOKED!
