New to design questions.

Couldnt find any info in search so ill put it out here.

Now i have only had one board made custom for me so far the rest were eithor second hand or looked good on the racks.

Anyway since getting boards made for me i have come into things i dont really know what the shaper is talking about.

Like when he says -“13 inch tail” or “14 inch nose” is he refering to the width of where the nose starts? or length of the nose? -

If its the former, how do you know where the nose starts?

Any pointers would be appreciated.

nose and tail numbers refer to total width 12 inches in from the ends. On swallow tail etc need to draw line perpendicular to stringer tip to tip.
