New V-Duckfeet swimfins

Anyone try them yet? They look like my UDT’s cut down greenough style?

I know a few tea baggers/kneeboards that have switched over to them and have only heard the best about them.

just called ebodyboarding.com and asked about them. Word is they are EXACTLY the same fin as standard Duckfeet w/ about 3 inches chopped off the end for those who like to flutter kick really fast and not go anywhere I guess.

They’re a bit diff in design.Personnally,I prefer the new Bodyglove fins myself.

and they look to be exactly that!

…although a new mold may have been a component in their production.

The new jobs are alittle more flared at the tips,w/ taller ridges…at least the ones I saw. That was like a year ago,and they were prototypes.

They look similar to Vipers. Anyone have a comparision between the Duckfeet(new or old) and Vipers? I kneeboard and bodysurf. thanks

I agree. Looks like a response to Vipers penetration of their market share.

okay, now I’m just wondering why they are called V-Duckfeet.

Any Clue?

I’m just kidding!

I’ve used the shorter Vipers and Duckfeet and think the Ducks have slightly more thrust so probably a bit less than the 7 inch Vipers. For me the Ducks are a bit more comfortable as I have a very wide and short foot (think Fred Flintstone)

Abbadabbadoo

Any body know of any brick-mortar establishments that have these as a stock item?

I’m in the market for some bodysurf/swim fins for summer.

So far its either Makapuus or these.

Much truth is said in jest!

Try Big-5 OR a local shop. Call or go on line.

Regular Duck Feet are readily available, including any decent sporting goods store that stocks some dive and water sports gear. Beyond that, to get UDT’s or probably the new ones too, you have to really look around…and online provides the best access. The bodyboarding stores, brick and mortar and online, have the best selection of fins across the board, but it’s best to check first before you get in the car.

It remains a complete mystery to me why Voit in whatever business configuration they may be in have no funcational internet home to make this easier.

Well Voit Swimfins essentially were bought out by http://www.360-inc.com/

Their marketing and internet presence has left much to be desired over the years.

for instance you can find regular Duckfeet at Big 5 , but no UDT’s.

Not really sure of any regular retailers who carry UDT as they dont list retailers on their site.

However, since the owner of 360-inc is a former Wedge crewman/bodysurfer he has enabled quite

a few of us to visit the warehouse to pick up personally what we want …usually at a premium over

regular retail.

As to finding V-Ducks, thats bound to be a holy crapshoot and I dont feel like driving or phoning

and talking to kids/retailers on the phone who wont even know what a V-Duck is…much less have them

in stock.

So far it seems I may have to order them online.

However, I dont order fins online, fit is everything and I must touch and feel before I buy

with fins.

While you’re dreaming of that apple pie you want to eat…can you cut off a piece for me too !

For what it’s worth, the http://www.360-inc.com/ site sez

The V-Duck Surf Fin.

From the makers of The legendary Duck Feet® Fin.

Which would be Prof. Greg Deets ( parsimony@earthlink.net ) who makes the UDTs. Voit doesn’t make 'em any more.

Shameless plug: I’ve gotten UDTs from him and not only was the price very reasonable, he’s a good guy to deal with. As I have some older UDTs, in both the stiffer and softer compounds, well, the new ones are better.

Hope that’s of use

doc…

found these stocked ‘new’ at ‘Play it again Sports’ shop in the area in Costa Mesa, Ca. at $29, same standard price as normal ducks.

V-Ducks, new rubber formulation, triimmed blade, very very short blade…Boogey Boarders Special!
