This is the latest board I completed a few weeks ago and took with me to Sacred Craft in Ventura this weekend. It has a balsa and cedar blank/core (blank weight 2 lbs) and paulownia wood skins. Its 6’6" x 20.5" x 2.375" full outline with round tail and quad fin set up. Board rides well. Came out a bit heavier than I like due to a heavier glass schedule, but floats well and paddles and catches waves without a problem. Glass work by Dave Levy in Narragansett RI. (thanks Dave)
Don’t know what happened to the pictures- stand by…
Very cool structure/material combo!
thanks John!
Cool board. Are the rear fins canted inwards?? Or is that just a photographic illusion?
Really nice board, like the build, looks like fun!
My thoery on the fins is they are futures side fins put in back to front or on the wrong side, have seen this before , because the fins have cant on them but are double foiled.
Or is it intentional?
Good eye, the fins are futures that I put on the wrong sides by mistake when taking the photograph. I didn’t realize I had put them in backwards until I was looking at the board later.
