Well, today was our first sunny , offshore day here , for a week [!!]
We have had rain , and howling onshores all last week .... so , I made the MOST of today's conditions , THAT'S for SURE !
I left a message for Karl on his telephone tonight , so , hopefully , " IF " tomorrow's forecast day is a repeat of today , I "may" at least have someone there , to photograph , SURFING these waves ?!

We've had swell, but lousy closeout banks at my regular spot. My other regular/most fave spot has been flaaaaat. This morning looked the goods, but it hasn't arrived yet. Nothing worse than rocking up in the dark, expecting to suit up in a hurry, only to see ankle slappers. If karma exists, im due for 2 weeks of great waves haha.

Meanwhile .... this is from today , here ... [the rest of the week they have forecast as " onshores , and rain " .... again ?!]

Wow, beautiful glassy swells, just gorgeous, drooling!
I got some this past weekend but in conditions far rougher than that: short sections, choppy, nearly blownout by onshore...

Karl is riding his old 8' "mini mal " , which has been snapped [by him] , and fixed [by him] ....twice ?!
The 8'er is quite narrow ... and narrow in the tail and nose , too ! It felt SO different to my mal , to paddle , AND to catch waves ......
We swapped my camera for his board , but luckily , he took no photos ... because , I had a SHOCKER !
I quickly grabbed the camera back , as HE got some GOOD waves previous to my ...ummm...." floundering " ... ha !

[usually it's ME , doing the "rocket launcher ", "the [un]guided missile" , or "the lobster dive " [see 'surffoils' avitar shot ...that's me ..er..." getting air " , on rowan's foamie !]
now , here are some waves , unspoilt by human's flounderings ....
meanwhile , not 25 metres north of where Ross and Karl were sitting , the wave of the morning comes through , and double spits , in unridden triumph !

So , if / when I'm not surfing , I like clicking off a few 'happy snaps' [as my dad would call them ! ]

Just before I left , the infamous 'brown out ' started , and there were some sand-churning , rip affected , and frothy , ones coming through ...
Finally, after a crap run, i got some glassy head high not too bad waves this morning. Nice spring day, no clouds, out before the sun was up, and all done by 7am haha. Sore eyed and stoked!
