Guys, the admins do what they can. Yesterday I deleted about ten of those And blocked pretty much the same number of accounts. But it just takes A LOT of time and they keep coming back…
You might have to set the software rules so that a new member can only post after the first ever post has been manually checked and approved by an administrator.
It's a bit of a pain for new members who finally sign up because they want to post or comment and then find that they can not (or that the post does nopt appear until after moderation), but it does get rid of most of the spam.
Sure, but this is up to Mike Paler. Moderators can only delete posts and/or accounts and since the site is as slow for them as for anybody else, it just takes heaps of time.
Why not resolve the slow website THEN change the software??? I never had a problem with the old site format. The only problem with this site has always been the speed that the pages load. At least 3 times a day for years I give up and move on to other websites when this site fails to load or takes too long to load…and that's not the forum software's fault.
