Hi everyone. I’m new to shaping and am having trouble finding an EPS supplier here in NorCal. I’ve been searching all over the Internet and have made several phone calls to no avail. I’ve found foam, but nothing that comes in the density I’m looking for (2lb), or comes in large sheets 4x8, or even 2x8. Or they are too thin - 1" (i’m trying to avoid gluing if possible).
Is there anyone local to NorCal (SF, San Jose, or even Central Valley area) that knows of a supplier? Or, do you think it’s okay to use 1lb foam for a board shorter than 8’?
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
I have ordered #2 from home depot. Just go to the contractor desk. My home depot in San Luis Obispo ordered it from insulfoam. I had to push a little, but I found one of the employees very helpful, some of the other ones, not so much. If you are going to do a bunch of boards I would call the above number and get a block.

Bay Foam in Hayward can order any density, any size & shape, up to 20’ long from Insulfoam, but they don’t stock much available for walk-ins. You can also bring back your scraps for recycling. http://www.bayfoam.com/
