((nose and tail laps))

what type of cut do most good glassers use? i have been doing the typical v in the nose, and 1/2 v’s for the typical squash tail. are there better methods or tips so it will come out a little smoother???

Teddy: Practice your laps and folds before you wet out the cloth. Just concentrate on getting the lap to cover all that you need to cover, foam, rough sanding from previous laps and try to remember which way you cut it to lap when you go back for the real deal. I always have some extra little pieces of cloth cut and ready at hand for deep swallows or known problem areas. A little more resin in the weave on those pesky tips and folds doesn’t hurt either.
