Timmy Dorsey should be given credit for being the pioneer of this break. We use to paddle in/out to surf this spot!I know every inch of the bottom out there ,because I fish over the spot alot, and have graphed/scoped it out many times.Herb.

Herb, there is a very similar spot outside of the Indian River Inlet in Delaware. When I had first arrived from Hawaii to Dover and got to go to the beaches for the first time, during a big, rare swell and saw it breaking in a perfect peak a mile out to sea. Needless to say I never had the nads to paddle out through the currents to try my skils at it. Breaks that far at sea are ballsy to say the least (leashes were still many years away from being invented) It has been ridden since, not by me, but by friends of mine, it has a lot of face and needs either, tow in or long floaty boards to catch it.

RIGHT ON Jim, This break requires more of a XXL gun or longboard with lots of float and weight. It’s very hard to paddle into even when the conditions are perfect. That’s why the tow board…makes sense now, huh guys, thanks Jim!! Many don’t know of Tim Dorsey ,but those of us that do, respect him alot for his ability to catch, and ride waves like this one… MAN, can that guy surf the big stuff WELL!!!Herb.
