old dewey webber longboard

I am not sure if this post should be here but I was just wondering if anyone could help me find out a little more info on this board. the glass is pretty bad and i can’t see any dimensions, serial number, or signature. The board is 9’7" and just under 22" wide. I was given it and not told all that much about it. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

thank you.

Classic board…Reverse T-Band stringer, wood tail block, classic “skeg”…probably early 60’s - I’d say 63.

Never would have had anything more than a serial #… no signature or dims. # could be hand written or stamped somewhere on the stringer I would think.

Bill Thrailkill and others, I’m sure, will post with more precise information.

In the mean time, don’t touch it…it’s probably worth more as is at the moment…to the right person.

Takes me back…

Pete

P.S. Check the outline…notice the Velzy Pig influence…

all i have done so far is remove the wax. There is the big ding on the deck and a repair on the tail and nose. all of the dings were apparently never completed or sanded out.

I also recently acquired a Weber board. Anyone know anything about this? Its in good shape, seems to have V the whole way.

Just got this 9’7" Dewey Weber from the 2nd owner.  He bought it used in 1965 in Hermosa Beach.  It needs some work to the tip and has some rough patch’s repaired by the previous owner on the bottom.  It has a fixed wood fin.  There are no serial numbers or markings on the board.  Any suggestions on restoring it?  I would love to get it back to being water tight and rideable.  Was not sure if I should start a new Forum subject so i just added on to one that was already started.  Tim

I hate those teeny tiny thumbnail pics, so I'm re-posting bigger...

Thanks Huckleberry!
